bad weather and cold and flu season

So today there will not be a blog. I am so sick, I have been this way since like Wednesday :( As of now my life is made up of....

I am hoping that this stuff gets me better sometime soon. I feel ultra awful!

yummy I like cough drops so I have no problem with taking these haha!

These pills are huge! I have low iron, so got to take these to help me get better and build back up on my iron.

This tea taste so good I have been drinking so much of it, really soothing for the throat.

Anyone remember the song " Chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side?" haha yeah this is my diet as of now but instead of a soda it is a cup of hot peppermint tea or some ice water.

Like a said before a big glass of ice water to get whatever I got out of me.

lots and lots and lots of hand sanitizer good gosh I have never used so much hand sanitizer in my life!

Rue 21

I have been wearing nothing but sweatpants and a big oversized t-shirt to sleep in my sweatpants are from rue21 and they are this color pink but do not have this design they have at the top " Thirty Eight" in bold letter and they are so comfy!

and oh yes I have been sleeping like sleeping beauty because that is about the only way I want to deal with this dreadful cold or flu whatever it is. I mean I feel awful I am pretty sure I look awful my poor nose is  so red I could have lead Santa Claus that is how red my nose is.

anyways I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season. Best wishes and hopefully none of you feel as bad and looks as awful as I do.

Merry Christmas quickie!

Merry Christmas everyone or if you do not happen to enjoy the Christmas holiday happy holidays to you. Today's blog is going to be kept pretty short just for the simple fact that it is Christmas and I would like to spend time with my family :)

I just wanted to pop by and say hello and let you know I was thinking about you all, but I got some pretty awesome things from " Santa" hehe and I will have a blog on it soon but here are some of my Christmas favorites :) ( and in case you have not noticed yet this blog is not makeup or beauty related it is just kinda random)

Christmas tree! Ok I am a sucker for a good tree and the fact that this one is pink totally made my day :)

Christmas food, I mean really almost everything ( sweets mainly) taste even better this time of year and I swear I could eat my weight in sweets. I have the worst sweet tooth in the world!

Presents..I am not to hep on getting gifts but I really like to give them. I like seeing the reaction on peoples face when they open up their gift.

The most important of all is family and the good lord Jesus Christ....That is the whole meaning of the day they really meaning of that.

Beauty in gray and maroon - OOTD, OOTN

Well the wind where I live is something fierce! Now other then the fact that the wind is just crazy I on the other hand look fabulous of course ha. Some many things could have gone wrong  today it is just unreal! Now last night where I lived the power went out and trees were knocked down due to the gust of wind that seem to take over my little town but it crazy outside today along with a nice breeze and the sunshine. But thankfully just a few moments after I woke up the lights and what not came back on and I was able to pull off this great look yesterday :)

As you can see with my makeup I just kept it simple. Brown eyeshadow and the classic winged eye liner. ( I actually have been wearing this makeup look like everyday) the products I used for this look were:maybelline new york I talked about ( HERE ) I used my Esteee Lauder liquid eye liner, as well for my brows a MAC brow pencil and for my lashed I used Estee Lauder and and mascara called " show time"  but sadly I have no idea what it is called :( I do know that it is a drug store mascara. also in my water line I just used a white pencil and I smudged a black eye liner pencil on my bottom lashes and I left my inner corner with out anything I thought it looked better.

For my hair I simply washed it and dried it with a hair drier and brushed it with a paddle brush while drying it. Then the next morning ( thankfully the power came back on!) I only straightened my bangs and my cowlick haha and then I took my conair I believe it is a 1 inch and curled my hair about half way up and I held it there for 20 seconds each time then sprayed with hair spray and I did this all around my hair and I did not - KEY WORD DID NOT - brush out my hair or run my fingers through it. All I did was just leave it as is. I brushed out my bangs a little and slightly brushed the top of my head to add some volume but after that I just left it.  The curls a bit different from this morning but I really liked how they turned about as the day went on it was like having loose beach waves and I really liked that, but it also looked good as is this morning.

Now for my accessories I kept it really simple all I wore is some earrings I got from my mom and a ring I got from my mom on my 14th birthday that I wear all the time. I can not tell you where any of these things came sadly the ring is really old and the earrings my mom had from a long time as well.

Now for the outfit it was warm and cozy! The sweater and under shirt both came from JcPenney, my jeans came from factory connection, and my boots are from a brand called " hot cakes".

Now just as a side note if you wanted to wear this as a casual weekend look you can so go for that then if you want to go out at night then you can dress it up like this. Once again the same top with a gray skirt the one I have on is from forever21, and you can also pair it with a black skirt it you want.  The hosiery that I have on is from JcPenney, and you can pair this with some maroon shoes but I paired it with black heels.

Things I am loving this month!

Hello beauties! So this is just going to be a laid back post, of things I am loving this month. After one hell of a week at work and being the fact that I have a huge headache right now, things are going to be simple so for this post and then stay tuned for the end of the blog I will be talking about some of the things I plan on doing for the new year! :)

Neutrogena - healthy skin concealer

This concealer is freaking amazing! My skin even looks a lot clearer now and love it.  I have been using it for about a month now, but I just really like it. The price is not bad at all, and I use a concealer brush when I put it on and it last for the whole day, so that is a win in my book.

MAC powder blush

I got some MAC powder blush and totally worth the money! I get such a nice glow using this and it not to dark but not to light, so you really do not have to put that much on. Of course I do not remember the name of my actual blush this color seen above is too dark for my skin tone.

Double Wear- Estee Lauder Liquid eyeliner

I did a review on this eyeliner along with a bunch of other Estee Lauder items. But I have been using this eyeliner almost every day that I do my makeup and it is just so amazing I can not rave about it enough.

Well to be honest this is not my actual nail polish that I have used but the idea is still the same haha! It is glitter nail polish :) I am really liking the glitter nail polish, it just brightens me up and it fits the season and really all year round plus I just really like glitter ( who doesn't ?)

Now I am really happy to talk a little about what I plan on doing for the new year :)  As of January 1, 2013 I plan on starting to do video blogs, more hauls, and even more makeup ideas! I even want to try and start up a youtube channel but we will just see how things go as of now and hopefully I gather more readers in the new years.

Fashion Sizes and why they are a problem

Last night I was out shopping with my dad and we are totally taking advantage of the JcPenney button thing they have going on and I will have more on that later. But I was trying thing on and after trying on like three or four different pairs of jeans I came to the point where I was pissed off and sad and wanted to give up and just go look for something else. But in the dressing room it made me notice something the core reason why I do not like to shop for jeans, why I always head right for the tops and the shoes, along with every thing else but the jeans.

I am super picky when it comes to the type of jeans I wear. They have to be pretty much 100% cotton and they can not be 90% or 50% whatever the precent it is spandex. I just do not like that in my jeans. By the end of the day I do not want my jeans fitting looser or whatever I want them to hug my legs the same way they did that morning that I put them on.

But as I picked what size I was, and took it into the dressing room that is when I became pissed and upset that the size I thought I was just did not fit and at points even though I could get them up over my thighs and what not it gave me a camel toe and just did not look right and I did not feel comfortable in them like it should. But with the feeling that coming over me that I was getting fat I quickly washed that thought out of my head and tried very hard to stay positive. I mean really no girl wants to admit to them self or anyone that they have to go up a size or maybe two, just no! Also to be honest no girl should have to walk out of a dressing room feeling that way. It is disappointing and all around sad.

But as I walked out of the dressing room for what felt like the one million time I stated that they should make all fashion sizes the same. I am sure no one knew what I was talking about it even considered that I was feeling a bit down on the fact the jeans I slightly did not like, just did not fit.

But too what I mean was true they should make all the fashion sizes the same. And what I mean by that is, that the fashion world should be like this, if I am a size 5 in one brand the every other brand I should be a size 5. But no of course it does not work that way sadly. We can not walk into every store and think that it will all be the same. I mean really in some jeans I go from a size 3 to a size 9 and at sometimes it is really annoying I do not know what size to trust.

But to end my point sometimes the fashion world really is cold but we have to keep our chins up and not let it get to us.

Now to another note and a much more happy one JcPenney is having a button give away kinda of thing. I am not sure what to call it. But right now if you go into JcPenney you can get two buttons then enter in online and they will send you coupons and all kind of stuff if your button is a winner. I have gotton $35 total from ( three $10 and one $5 off coupons) from do this. The nice thing is you do not have to go and buy anything from the store all you have to do is just walk in and grab some buttons and you are good to go! They started this December 1st and it is going till December 31st I believe but if you would like you can go to their website for more info. on it.

Lets Talk : Adam Selman Edition

So once again I am starting something new with my blog, we are going to talk about fashion and beauty people that help build or contribute or dominate the fashion and beauty world.  Now me I can at least seven people on the spot that built our fashion world and to this day still some what control it.  But as I was checking out the news today I saw something about Rihanna and this caught my attention ( of course haha) but it is her stylist I guess we can say was the main topic and this got me and now as you can see I was so inspired it to go and write a blog post on it.


Now just as the article I read ( ) says you probably do not know who this person is, but that is ok a lot of fashion gurus start out not known and work their way up ( I mean hello! If working with Rihanna does not get you well know I do not know what will.) but to me point he has created some ( if not all) of her outfits from tours to being back stage at the VMA's read to fix here dress or quickly create a new one. But lets take a look at some of the things that he has created and lets see if he gets the Union Edge approval!

As you can see he plays a big roll in fashion from styling, Rihanna all the way to Pink and Taylor Swift. This man is a genius in what he does and thanks to him for bringing color and shape into the fashion world.

Outfit Creation - Christmas ( Holiday) edtion!

It is that time of year again! Time for gift giving, singing, and random people being nice to you for no reason ( even though we all know they would be rude if it was not the Holiday season....how awful!) So here I am again bring to you another outfit creation for the Christmas ( Holiday) season, so before I ramble on lets get this blog started :)

cable knit sweater - forever21

I really like this sweater it just seems cozy and when you are with family and enjoying the day of gifts and eating and being together what more could you want then complete comfort?

Life in progress skinny jeans - forever 21

once again we are going for complete comfort, with this outfit. To me skinny jeans are prettty comfortable, but I went with dark denim jeans I believe that it really compliments the light gray sweater.

Almond toe wedges - forever 21

I really like these shoes this wine red colors will look great for that pop of color and the with the gray and dark denim it will really stand out and look amazing!

tiered dimpled earrings - forever 21

gold is really in this season as far as jewelry goes and with the wine red color and gray this earring are really going to stand out and because we are going really simple with this out we are just going to stick with the earrings

quilted chainn shoulder bag - forever 21

I am totally loving this bag. Once again with the colors of this outfit I think it will look great!

Anti Taylor Outfit ( Cosmo)

So due to the fact that I really do not like the outfit that Taylor swift is wearing the November issue of Cosmo and I did a little rant on it HERE. But as you can see the pictures below I took a similar skirt and put together a different outfit and I think it looks a lot better then the awful purple and maroon they put on here.

For this outfit I took a black sweater dress with a scoop neck from Rue 21 and a maroon skirt from forever 21 with off black stockings from JcPenney and my heels from payless.

Audrey Hepburn holiday inspired looked

Oh my goodness I had so much fun shooting this look and doing the makeup but aside from doing what I did in this it would be great for a holiday look.

With this outfit I used a white shirt and then paired it with a bandaged black skirt and with off black hosiery with patent leather black heels. The gloves are just costume glove and haha I came up with using a straw at the cigarette ( creative I know) I got the idea from the breakfast at Tiffany's and the pearls went with the idea of the outfit.  The shoes came from payless, the pearls and the white top came from Charlotte Russe, the black gloves came from icing,  off black hoses were from JcPenney, bandage skirt forever 21.  Now if you are just dying to know ha I got the straw from a cafe I eat at everyday haha.

Who inspires my fashion

Over the Holiday weekend I was thinking it would be nice if I show you who inspires my fashion and why talk a little bit about why they inspire me in my fashion.

Audrey Hepburn is amazing I adore her style. She is so classic and lady like. Her style really speaks to me because she is just so girly and I am also very girly. I draw from her simple style and the way she held her self so well and I really like that.

Marilyn Monroe she is so stunning and a sex icon in her day and I draw from that. She was a rebel in her time in both the way she acted and with out a doubt her style and inspires me to take risk in my clothing as well.

Heidi Klum, a Victoria Secret Angel and beautiful model. Here style is so edgy and just always trying some new and I like that about her style. She is great at mixing two blends of style together and daring. With out a doubt some one that inspires my fashion style.

Nicole Scherzinger for the love of all of man kind this women is beautiful. She has been my top inspiration from such a young age. The way she styles her self is amazing, from her hair to her make up right down to her clothes and shoes, she just sparks this amazing light in my creative side for style.

Kim Kardashian I know a lot of people have mixed feeling about her but I like her. She is pretty and daring when it comes to fashion. She works with what she has and is not afraid to show it. I am more of the curvy nature and she has taught me to not be scared to show my curves rather then hide them.

Tyra Banks....who doesn't like Tyra? She is daring and strong and can rock anything she wears. I like that because just like Kim she is curvy and is not afraid to show that. She lets her energy shine through her fashion and that inspires me because I show my emotion through my fashion.

As you can these are the wonderful ladies that inspire me to be the person I am and with out a doubt inspire my style. Ways to use a Chocolate brown sweater

So the other day I was going through my closet and I discovered this chocolate brown over sized sweater and nothing spells comfort like an over sized sweater! So before I ramble on here are two ways that you can style an over sized sweater.

 

As you can see in this first look I took the sweater and paired it with dark denim jeans and for my shoes I kept them pretty simply with just some light brown knee high heeled boots and I would pair this with a fun colored bag like this ( seen below)

So this is actually what I wore Tuesday and it is so comfortable! I feel like I want to curl up on the couch and map something like that haha but I paired the sweater with sweater leggings or you could also pair it with just plain black leggings. Now a little secret is that I am actually wearing two sets of leggings the first set its the plain black leggings then I have the sweater leggings under it. Now I am sure that you are wondering "  why is she wearing two sets of leggings?" Well the first set ( plain black ones) were very badly see through and I did not want to go around letting everyone get a free peep show, so I add the sweater leggings. Now I could have worn just the plain sweater leggings I am sure that is what you are thinking but that would not have worked because, the sweater leggings were also some what see through mainly when I bent over once again I did not want to give anyone a peep show. Now That I wore that outfit all day I came to notice that you will be nice and toasty in the outfit. I was kinda on the warm side and maybe that is because it was some what warm where I live but I actually like that I can wear this outfit during the winter and not freeze me bum off. As for my shoes I went with plain black ankle boots, and it looked really good. With this outfit because there is so much texture I would not go with a crazy purse I would stick with something simple like this ( seen below)
